JustGiving fees
JustGiving charges 1.9% + 30p per donation for charity fundraising and 2.9% + 35p per donation for personal fundraising, for standard payment methods (JustGiving: Our fees). JustGiving’s own example: £500 from 25 donors giving £20 each leaves the charity £483; the engine reproduces it exactly.
| £500 raised | Fees | Fee rate | You keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Charity · 25 donations | £17.00 | 3.40% | £483.00 |
| Personal · 25 donations | £23.25 | 4.65% | £476.75 |
| Charity · 100 donations | £39.50 | 7.90% | £460.50 |
| Personal · 100 donations | £49.50 | 9.90% | £450.50 |
Just Giving Fees for Personal Fundraisers: 2.9% + 35p
Raising money for yourself or someone you know (crowdfunding) costs more than raising for a registered charity: 2.9% + 35p per donation instead of 1.9% + 30p. On £500 from 25 donors that’s £23.25 instead of £17. If the cause can be a registered charity’s fundraiser, more of each donation gets there.

The per-donation fee adds up
The fixed 30p or 35p is charged on every donation, so a page with many small gifts pays more. £1,000 from 100 donors of £10 costs a charity £49; from 10 donors of £100 it costs £22. Suggesting a slightly higher default amount on your page helps more than anything else.
A personal fundraiser example
A personal fundraiser raising £2,500 from 80 donations pays £100.50 in fees (2.9% plus 35p per donation) and keeps £2,399.50. Run it as a charity fundraiser and the fees fall to £71.50. For charities, Gift Aid is worth far more than the fee difference: it adds 25p per £1 from eligible UK taxpayers (GOV.UK: Gift Aid).
