What Cash App charges to cash out
Cash App charges 0.5% to 2.5% of the amount for an instant deposit, with a $0.25–$1 minimum and a $75 maximum, and shows the exact figure before you confirm (Cash App Terms of Service). Standard deposits to your bank are free and take 1–3 business days.
Because the rate moves, the calculator asks for the rate your app shows. If you don’t know it yet, leave the default, which sits in the middle of the range.
| Amount moved | Total fees | Fee rate | You keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| $20.00 | $0.30 | 1.50% | $19.70 |
| $50.00 | $0.75 | 1.50% | $49.25 |
| $100.00 | $1.50 | 1.50% | $98.50 |
| $300.00 | $4.50 | 1.50% | $295.50 |
| $1,000.00 | $15.00 | 1.50% | $985.00 |
| $5,000.00 | $75.00 | 1.50% | $4,925.00 |
Cash App Cash Out Fee: Standard Is Free, Instant Isn't
The cash-out fee only exists for instant deposits. A standard deposit is free at any amount, so the real question is whether a day or two is worth the 0.5%–2.5%.
On $300 at 1.5%, instant costs $4.50. If you’re paying a bill on time with it, fine. If you’re just moving money because it’s there, wait.

Cash App Instant Transfer: Why Your Rate Isn't Fixed
Cash App publishes a range rather than one rate, so two people moving the same amount can see different fees. That’s why we ask for your rate instead of assuming one. The range is the same for everyone:
| Instant deposit of $100 | Fees | Fee rate | You keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lowest rate (0.5%) | $0.50 | 0.50% | $99.50 |
| 1.5% | $1.50 | 1.50% | $98.50 |
| Highest rate (2.5%) | $2.50 | 2.50% | $97.50 |
| Standard deposit | $0.00 | 0.00% | $100.00 |
The $75 cap only matters on large deposits: at 2.5% it kicks in at $3,000.

Got paid for a sale? Check the business fee too
Cash-out fees are separate from what Cash App takes when a customer pays a business account. The Cash App fee calculator covers business payments, Tap to Pay and card funding. For other apps, compare the Venmo instant transfer fee or Apple Cash.
