What Apple Cash charges
Apple Cash charges 1.7% of the transfer amount for Instant Transfer to an eligible US debit card, with a minimum of $0.25 and a maximum of $25. Moving money to your bank account without Instant Transfer is free (Apple Support).
So the fee is flat 1.7% between about $14.71 and $1,470.59, the minimum below that range, and $25 above it.

Apple Pay Instant Transfer Fee: It's Apple Cash's 1.7%
“Apple Pay instant transfer” usually means moving your Apple Cash balance out instantly, because Apple Pay itself is just the wallet you pay with. The fee is Apple Cash’s: 1.7%, minimum $0.25, maximum $25, deducted from the amount you send.
Apple Cash Transfer Fee: $0 to Your Bank, 1.7% Instant
A regular transfer from Apple Cash to your bank account costs nothing; you only pay for speed. Apple notes transfers start at $1 (or your whole balance if it’s under $1), and Instant Transfer requires an eligible debit card.
We’d use instant only when you need the money the same day. The fee on $600 is $10.20, which buys nothing but a day or two.
A worked example: paying rent from Apple Cash
Say $1,200 of rent money is sitting in Apple Cash and rent is due tomorrow. Instant Transfer costs $20.40 (1.7%) and the money is there in minutes. A standard transfer costs nothing but takes 1–3 business days. If your landlord charges a late fee bigger than $20.40, instant is the cheaper choice; otherwise, start the standard transfer early.
Apple also limits how much you can move per transfer and per seven days, and Instant Transfer only works with an eligible US debit card (Apple Cash transfer limits).
