Vinted is unusual: the seller pays nothing. There is no selling fee, no payment processing fee and no charge to withdraw your money, so a sale at $20 puts $20.00 in your balance. The fee sits on the buyer’s side instead, added to the price they see on your listing, and that is where the questions start. How much more does the buyer pay? Why do two UK items at the same price show different totals? Does the fee stop growing on expensive items? The calculator above answers all three for the US, the UK, Australia and the main European markets, and adds any Bump or Showcase you paid for.
Every Vinted fee at a glance
These are the fees in the US. Pick another country in the calculator to see its rates.

What catches sellers out:
- The buyer’s fee is part of the price they compare. Listings show your price and, next to it, the total “incl.” the Vinted fee. A $10.00 item appears as $11.20.
- The fixed part hurts cheap items. On a $1 item the fee is $0.75, 75% of the price. At $100 it is $5.70, or 5.7%.
- Bump prices aren’t published. Vinted shows the price only when you buy, so the calculator asks what you paid.
What you keep at common prices
Each row assumes a US seller who didn’t Bump the item.
| Item price | Total fees | Fee rate | You keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5.00 | $0.00 | 0.00% | $5.00 |
| $10.00 | $0.00 | 0.00% | $10.00 |
| $20.00 | $0.00 | 0.00% | $20.00 |
| $30.00 | $0.00 | 0.00% | $30.00 |
| $50.00 | $0.00 | 0.00% | $50.00 |
| $100.00 | $0.00 | 0.00% | $100.00 |
You keep every cent of the price, so the useful question is what your buyer pays before shipping:
| Your price | Vinted fee | Buyer sees |
|---|---|---|
| $5.00 | $0.95 | $5.95 |
| $10.00 | $1.20 | $11.20 |
| $20.00 | $1.70 | $21.70 |
| $50.00 | $3.20 | $53.20 |
| $100.00 | $5.70 | $105.70 |
How the fees add up on one order
A $30 item that you paid $2.00 to Bump (Vinted shows your actual Bump price before you buy):
- Buyer pays in total$32.20
- of which vinted fee (paid by the buyer)5% × $30.00 + $0.70$2.20
- Sale amount$30.00
- Selling fee0%: Vinted charges the buyer, not you$0.00
- BumpWhat you paid to Bump this item−$2.00
- Withdrawal to your bankFree$0.00
- You keep$28.00
The buyer pays $32.20 before shipping: your $30.00 plus a $2.20 Vinted fee, which is 5% of $30 plus $0.70. The prepaid label and any sales tax are added at checkout and never pass through your balance. You receive $30.00, and the only thing that comes off is the Bump you chose to buy, which leaves you $28.00. Without the Bump you keep all $30.00.
The UK: Kids items and the £75 cap
Vinted’s UK help page gives only a range, “usually 3% to 8% + £0.3 to £0.8”. We read the totals on Vinted’s own UK listings to find the rates buyers actually pay:
| Fee | Amount | Charged on | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| Selling fee (you) | 0% | Your item price | Private sellers and Vinted Prosource |
| Vinted fee (buyer), most items | 5% + £0.70, VAT incl. | Item or bundle price, not shipping | Every order; added to the price the buyer payssource |
| Vinted fee (buyer), Kids catalogue | 8% + £0.30, VAT incl. | Item or bundle price, not shipping | Items listed under Kidssource |
| Vinted fee cap | £75.00 | Item price of £1,486 or more | Seen on UK listings, not in Vinted’s help pages. Kids items: still uncapped at £1,453, capped at £1,495source |
| Prepaid shipping (buyer) | Shown at checkout | By parcel size, route and carrier | Every order with a Vinted labelsource |
| Item Verification (buyer, optional) | £10.00 per item | Eligible designer items from £85.00 | Buyer adds it at checkoutsource |
| Electronics Verification (buyer, optional) | £5.00 per item | Eligible phones, tablets and consoles | Buyer adds it at checkoutsource |
| Currency conversion (buyer) | 1.2% or 3% | Item price, built into the exchange rate | Buyer pays in another currencysource |
| Bump (you, optional) | Shown before you pay | One item, 3 or 7 days | Only if you buy onesource |
| Showcase (you, optional) | Shown at checkout | Your whole wardrobe for 7 days (5+ listings) | Only if you buy onesource |
| Withdrawal to your bank | Free | Your Vinted Balance | Up to 5 business dayssource |
| Item price | Most items (5% + £0.70) | Kids catalogue (8% + £0.30) |
|---|---|---|
| £1.00 | £0.75 | £0.38 |
| £5.00 | £0.95 | £0.70 |
| £10.00 | £1.20 | £1.10 |
| £20.00 | £1.70 | £1.90 |
| £50.00 | £3.20 | £4.30 |
| £1,000.00 | £50.70 | £80.30 |
| £2,000.00 | £75.00 | £75.00 |
The Kids rate is lower for the buyer on items under about £13 and higher above that, which is why two items at the same price can show different totals. From an item price of £1,486 the fee stops at £75.00: £1,485 carries £74.95, and anything from £1,486 up carries £75.00. Kids items are capped too, but the listings only show that the switch falls between £1,453 (still £116.54) and £1,495 (£75.00); the calculator uses £1,486 for both and flags that range. Vinted doesn’t document this cap, so treat checkout as the final word on very expensive items.
Europe, Australia and cross-border sales
Every other market uses 5% of the price plus a fixed amount in the local currency, VAT or GST included:
- Euro countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Ireland, Finland, Greece and the other euro markets): 5% + €0.70, so €1.70 on a €20 item. French listings showed no cap.
- Poland 5% + 2,90 zł, Sweden 5% + 7,50 SEK and Denmark 5% + 5 kr.
- Australia: the help page says 5% + A$1.20, but listings charged 5% + A$1.00, which is what we use.
Buyers can also shop between the UK and the US or Australia. The buyer pays the conversion: 1.2% or 3% of the item price, built into the exchange rate at checkout. You are paid in your own currency, and nothing is deducted from your earnings.
Bumps, Showcase and verification
A Bump moves one item up feeds and search for 3 or 7 days. You can lower the price during a Bump but not raise it, and lowering it doesn’t refund any of the Bump. Showcase promotes your whole wardrobe for 7 days and needs at least 5 listings; if it helped several sales, enter how many and the calculator splits the cost. Vinted says Showcase is currently unavailable in the US and Australia.
Two optional checks are paid by the buyer, never by you. Item Verification costs £10 per item on eligible designer items from £85 in the UK (€10 from €100 in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal and Finland). Electronics Verification costs £5 (€5 in most euro countries) for eligible phones, tablets and consoles. Neither is offered in the US, Australia, Ireland or Greece yet, and neither works on bundles.
Ways to keep more of each sale
- Price for the total buyers see. Buyers compare the “incl.” figure, not your price: $10.00 shows as $11.20, while $9.50 shows as $10.68.
- Bundle cheap items. Vinted’s help page describes the fee on a bundle as a percentage of the bundle’s price plus a fixed fee, and that fixed part weighs most on cheap items. Checkout shows the exact amount.
- Set the price before you Bump. You can’t raise it while the Bump runs, and a price cut doesn’t refund any of it.
- List kids’ items in the Kids catalogue (UK). It is the right category, and buyers pay less on kids’ items under about £13.
- Withdraw whenever you like. Withdrawals are free, so there is nothing to gain by waiting to move larger amounts.
